Hello, open-up members and visitors, and welcome to the first of our new series of regular updates on what's going on on our website. If you're having trouble finding the blog or discussion group that matches your interest, this blog might be a good place to start.

In the Groups section this week, we recommend: "How do you tell your personal story", which looks at how people can share their experiences to raise awareness, "Campaigning", where activists can support each other to think about how to get started, and "Mental Health in film and TV", where people can share their opinions on representations of mental health on-screen.

In the Blogs section, we've been hearing from one of our South East Initiatives about a slight change to his plans. Our North East Co-ordinator Philip Clark has also written his response to the BBC documentary about mental distress and violence, which was broadcast on Monday night. This programme provoked quite a lot of debate, and there are some interesting comments underneath Philip's piece.

If you have any recommendations about what people should be reading on our site, please write them below. Happy networking!
